Senior Pastor:  Pastor James Pettit, Jpettit@griswoldstreet.org

Pastor James and Kelly Pettit met in high school in Western New York and were married in 1997.  After graduating from Crown College in Minnesota, James taught secondary history at Elkhart Christian Academy, formly Elkhart Baptist Christian School, in Elkhart, Indiana from 1998-2004.  In 2004 James became the Associate Pastor of Outreach and Missions at First Baptist Church in Elkhart and served in that role until being called to be the Senior Pastor of Griswold Street Baptist Church of Port Huron, MI in April of 2011.

Pastor James and Kelly love being the parents of two boys and four girls ages 12 down to two.  Pastor James is close to completing his Masters of Ministry degree from Baptist Bible Seminary of Clarks Summitt, PA and loves historical tourism, scuba diving, shepherding the awesome church family of Griswold Street Baptist Church, his incredible kids, and his phenomenal and beautiful wife.

An interesting ministry fact about Pastor James is that he has had the privilege of traveling to 20 countries around the world to teach in Bible schools, learn about culture, and see how The Lord Jesus Christ is building His Church from "every tribe, nation, and tounge"

Pastor Tim North serves GSBC as Minister of Outreach and Missions.  He and his wife Carmen also serve as Personnel Directors for Life in Messiah, International (see www.LifeInMessiah.org).  Tim has served on national and local boards including St. Clair County Youth for Christ, and Francophone Ministries for Christ.  He is responsible for local outreach events, including our Annual Single Parent Oil Change, Block Party, and Community Christmas Luncheon.  He coordinates our missions program, working with the church Mission Board, in partnering with our 26 missionaries and 9 agencies. Pastor Tim comments: "Global ministry through missions and a heart for our neighborhood are core values here that we know the Lord has honored.  You are welcome to become part of that blessing."
